These are wildfires cards based on appropriation, pastiche, vernacular, or deconstruction. I created a set of 10 cards that brought awareness to wildfires.
I used a pastiche of hazard warnings on the cards to show different environmental
issues being effected by wildfires. On the back of the cards I explained what was
being effected, and an image showing wildfires.
Packaging
This is the packaging that goes along with the wildfire cards. I created a matchbox for the cards. The box would be at nature centers or visitor centers for people to pick up thinking they are matches, but inside are cards explaining the reasons people should take caution when using matches. I added two QR codes on the back of the matchbox for people to get more information on the causes and preventions of wildfires. Together we can make a difference and stop the start of wildfires.
